According to Qatar News Agency, HE Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Qatar Vipul, who spoke to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
Vipul took the opportunity to express his high regard for Qatar on its National Day, highlighting the theme that underscores the nation's focus on human-centric development. He noted the significant strides Qatar has made in various fields due to this approach.
The ambassador remarked on the exemplary year 2025 for the Indian-Qatari friendship, which is rooted in a long history. He emphasized that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to India in February 2025 significantly strengthened the bilateral relationship, elevating it to a strategic partnership.
Qatar's reputation for energy production and world-class infrastructure, along with its cultural, educational, and sports hubs, was also highlighted by Vipul. He mentioned Qatar's hosting of prestigious events such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 as testaments to its organizational capabilities.
Vipul praised the Qatari leadership's forward-thinking approach in technology, innovation, and sustainability, as outlined in the Qatar National Development Strategy. The year 2025 was pivotal, with Doha hosting major events like Web Summit Qatar, MWC Doha, and World Summit AI Qatar 2025.
He also acknowledged Qatar's efforts in regional peace and stability, including Gaza ceasefire mediation and hostage release efforts, which have garnered widespread praise. India, he assured, supports peace and stability in the region and values Qatar's role in it.
The ambassador highlighted the Second World Summit for Social Development 2025 held in Doha, showcasing Qatar's commitment to inclusive global sustainable development. He expressed pride in the Indian community's contributions to Qatar's development journey and wished for continued success.
