Qatar’s Khalil Al Jaber Secures World Aquatics Membership for 2025-2029 Term

Doha: Khalil Al Jaber has been elected as a member of World Aquatics for the 2025-2029 term. This announcement was made during the World Aquatics general assembly held on the sidelines of the ongoing World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Jaber has a long-standing history with World Aquatics, having first been elected as a member in 2017. He has been a prominent figure in aquatic sports, previously serving as the President of the Qatar Swimming Association from 2008 to 2024. His expertise and leadership were recognized in 2021 when he was selected at the general assembly in Doha as a representative member for host countries of the World Championships.

In addition to his recent election to World Aquatics, Al Jaber also secured the role of Vice President of the Asian Aquatics Federation for the term 2024-2029. This position was awarded during the World Aquatics general assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, last year.
