New York: HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE President of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Philemon Yang in New York. During their meeting, Sheikha Alya conveyed Qatar's eagerness to host HE Yang at the upcoming Doha Forum 2024, scheduled for December 7-8. According to Qatar News Agency, HE Yang expressed enthusiasm about participating in the Doha Forum, recognizing it as a significant venue for advancing international dialogue and cooperation. He emphasized the forum's role in addressing pressing global issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and conflict resolution.
