Qatar's junior handball team is preparing for the 10th Asian Men's Youth (U18) Handball Championship held in Shiraz, Iran from September 3 to 14. The championship represents the qualifiers for the 2025 IHF Men's (U19) Handball World Championship set to be held in Slovenia. Qatar is in Group B alongside Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Group A is Iran, Iraq and India, Group C is South Korea, Bahrain and Chinese Taipei, while Group D is Japan, Kuwait, China and Jordan. Qatar will face the UAE on September 4 and Saudi Arabia on September 5. The top five teams in the championship will advance to the 2025 Handball World Championship. Qatar's junior handball team won the Asian Handball Championship twice in 2010 in Abu Dhabi and in 2012 in Manama. They came 2nd place three times in 2006 in Tehran, 2008 in Oman and 2014 in Oman.
