Post: QCAA Hosts Workshop to Discuss National Air Transport Facilitation Program

Doha: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) organized a specialized workshop titled "National Air Transport Facilitation Program" at the Qatar Air Traffic Control Centre. The event witnessed participation from various representatives of relevant entities, focusing on the international requirements, Annex 9 to the Chicago Convention, and the core elements of the National Air Transport Facilitation Program. The workshop aimed to enhance coordination and integration among the involved entities and prepare for the upcoming phase of the program's implementation, supporting the application of best practices in the field.

According to Qatar News Agency, several key topics were discussed during the workshop. This included a review of the approved final version of the 2026 National Air Transport Facilitation Program, detailing the roles and responsibilities assigned to the relevant entities, and the mechanisms for coordination and integration among them. Participants also examined the legal and regulatory framework supporting the program's implementation, along with implementation plans and performance indicators, to boost the readiness of the entities for the next phase.

The workshop is part of QCAA's ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation among the relevant entities and support the development of the air transport facilitation framework. This initiative aligns with international best practices and standards in the aviation sector, reflecting QCAA's commitment to fostering a more integrated and efficient air transport system.
