QICDRC Engages in Global Judicial Dialogue at SIFoCC Meeting in New Delhi

New delhi: The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) participated in the 6th Full Meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC), held in New Delhi, Republic of India, from Nov. 8 to 9, 2025. This significant event brought together high-level delegations representing approximately 68 commercial courts from various countries, highlighting the role of commercial courts in reinforcing the rule of law and creating stable, attractive legal and economic environments that support global investment.

According to Qatar News Agency, Faisal Rashid Al Sahouti, CEO of QICDRC, emphasized the contribution of the Qatar International Court in promoting international judicial cooperation and enhancing commercial justice systems. SIFoCC is recognized as a key platform for the exchange of expertise and best practices among commercial courts globally. It aids in facilitating cross-border trade and improving the efficiency and integrity of international judicial processes.

The meeting addressed numerous pressing topics such as advancing international judicial convergence through shared standards and practices for recognizing and enforcing commercial judgments across borders. Discussions included the implementation of arbitration and mediation awards, and practical mechanisms for document exchange and witness hearings between different judicial systems.

Topics also covered corporate legal responsibility amid global challenges like climate change, digital transformation, and expanding private finance, discussing their implications for commercial law. The use of artificial intelligence within judicial systems was also a focus, stressing the need for clear ethical frameworks to protect judicial independence and uphold fair trial principles.

QICDRC previously hosted the 5th Full Meeting of SIFoCC in Doha in April 2024, reinforcing Qatar's commitment to international judicial cooperation and dialogue among commercial courts. That meeting underscored Qatar's prominence as a center for commercial justice and a hub for resolving international business disputes.

SIFoCC, established in 2017 as a global judicial initiative, provides a collaborative platform for commercial courts from various legal systems. With 68 member courts worldwide, the Forum promotes professional cooperation, exchanges judicial expertise, and develops mechanisms for resolving cross-border commercial disputes, contributing to global commerce stability and confidence in legal frameworks.
