Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) organized a two-day workshop on organizational communication, as part of QNA Training Center's 2026 training plan. With the attendance of 20 trainees from QNA and various government institutions, the workshop aims to strengthen the participants' organizational and professional communication skills, and seeks to equip them with the skills needed to manage workplace communication effectively, ensuring clarity in messaging and more effective interaction across organizational levels. Ultimately, the workshop aims to contribute to fostering a work environment built on cooperation, trust, and efficiency.
According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop was presented by Dr. Eiman Abdel Maksoud Eissa, an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication in the Department of Mass Communication at Qatar University (QU). The workshop covers several key areas, including the fundamentals of organizational communication, understanding audiences, selecting appropriate communication channels, professional writing, meeting management, follow-up and documentation, as well as managing difficult conversations, feedback, and conflicts. It also addresses communication across organizational levels, employee voice, trust-building, clarity of roles and responsibilities, and fairness in workload distribution and performance evaluation.
The workshop also explores managing ambiguity and rumors, crisis communication, decision-making, persuasion and influence in the workplace, as well as digital communication and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. This initiative is part of Qatar News Agency's efforts, represented by QNA Training Center, to develop national media talent and keep pace with the rapid changes taking place across the media landscape. It also reflects the Agency's commitment to strengthening the role of the media in supporting comprehensive development and communicating national messages through professional and creative approaches.
