Doha:A two-day training course on diplomatic protocol and etiquette was launched by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), as part of its 2026 training plan. The course aims to enhance communication skills and professional conduct in formal settings.
According to Qatar News Agency, the course was attended by several QNA and government employees. It focused on improving professional appearance and conduct, which positively reflects on both the employee and the organization they represent. Participants were also introduced to refined verbal and non-verbal communication skills essential for formal situations.
The course offered a comprehensive introduction to protocol, defining etiquette and protocol and distinguishing between the two. It explored various types of protocol, the concept of diplomacy, and the characteristics of diplomatic personalities. The training emphasized the importance of these skills and methods in building a successful diplomatic personality.
Additionally, the course included a module on precedence, focusing on the classification of VIPs, titles, and honorifics, as well as the diplomatic presence in Qatar. Participants learned about the fixed rules for determining and arranging precedence according to status and the skills required for handling different situations effectively.
