QPC Launches Workshop on Portrait Photography

Doha: The Qatar Photography Center (QPC), affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is set to hold a workshop on Thursday focused on portrait photography. This initiative is part of QPC's ongoing efforts to enhance photographers' skills, attract global talents, and organize training programs that incorporate the latest trends.

According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop will be presented by international photographer Cesar Parroco, aiming to introduce participants to the fundamentals of portrait photography, a highly sought-after genre in the field. The program is designed to blend practical and theoretical approaches to learning.

Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain, Director of the QPC, emphasized that the workshop will highlight one of the key areas of commercial photography. Participants will explore essential aspects of professional portrait photography, including concept development, professional lighting, and photoshoot management.

Al Buainain further explained that the workshop will feature hands-on practices in professional studios and collaboration with makeup artists to provide participants with comprehensive insights into portrait photography. He encouraged both enthusiasts and professionals to engage in the workshop to gain experience with prominent international talents. This aligns with QPC's vision of promoting photography, fostering creativity, and enhancing national capabilities.
