QRCS Launches Warm Winter 2025-2026 Campaign to Aid Over 317,000 Beneficiaries

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched its annual Warm Winter relief campaign for 2025-2026, under the slogan "In Safe Hands", with the aim of providing heating and food supplies for more than 317,000 beneficiaries in 11 countries. In a statement, QRCS Secretary-General, Faisal Mohamed Al-Emadi, emphasized the critical need for safety and basic sustenance for those affected by conflicts and disasters worldwide.

According to Qatar News Agency, the campaign's action plan includes a variety of winterization and relief projects. These initiatives comprise monthly cash assistance for families with orphans, clothing coupons for students, and fully furnished makeshift shelters. Additionally, QRCS will be distributing winter clothing bags, daily hot meals, food parcels, and potable water for internally displaced people (IDPs). The campaign also aims to provide infant formula for babies, medications for patients and injuries, and winterization kits for those in need.

Further efforts in the campaign involve the restoration of homes for poor people, distribution of heating oil coupons, and provision of fully furnished shelter tents for IDPs. The campaign will also supply winter clothing for orphans and poor individuals, along with housing units for refugees. QRCS calls upon generous contributors both within and outside Qatar to support these initiatives, emphasizing that donations can transform lives by ensuring warmth and safety for vulnerable families during the harsh winter months.
