QRCS President Highlights National Day as Symbol of Resilience Amid Global Challenges

Doha: HE President of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) Yousef bin Ali Al Khater emphasized that Qatar National Day represents a significant national occasion that reaffirms loyalty and belonging to the State of Qatar. He expressed hope for the continued security, safety, and stability of the nation.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency stated that Qatar faced unprecedented challenges in 2025, including geopolitical conflicts, violations of international humanitarian law, economic complexities, and climate changes in the region and globally. He highlighted Qatar's resilience and steadfastness, demonstrating adherence to its regional and international roles based on national interests, foreign policy principles, and humanitarian values.

QRCS has consistently been a key player in this national strategy, fulfilling its humanitarian mission for those affected by crises worldwide. The society is working on a new institutional strategy aligned with evolving humanitarian and development needs, reinforcing its role as a supportive entity of the State and its commitment to international humanitarian law, Al Khater noted.

He further elaborated on the growing challenges in humanitarian work, such as access to conflict zones, a global funding crisis, and increasing needs of vulnerable communities. Nevertheless, QRCS remains dedicated to its humanitarian obligations in partnership with local and international entities.

Reaffirming QRCS's commitment, HE Yousef bin Ali Al Khater pledged that the society will continue to support the nation under all circumstances, aligning with the leadership in its developmental journey and honoring the legacy of its founders in serving Qatar and its citizens.
