Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a minor decline during Monday's trading session, closing lower by 4.49 points, or 0.04 percent, at 10,731.920 points. This modest decrease came amid active trading across various sectors of the market.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 224,408,844 shares were traded, with a total value of QAR 468,580,547.394, conducted through 22,343 transactions. The market saw a mixed performance with shares of 32 companies rising, while 18 companies experienced a decline in their share prices. Meanwhile, three companies maintained their previous closing prices.
The market capitalization at the end of the session was recorded at QAR 633,908,796,626.013, showing a slight increase from the previous session's figure of QAR 633,901,803,225.372. This indicates a stable market environment despite the slight decrease in the general index.
