Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 0.08% at the start of trading on Thursday, adding 9.37 points to reach the level of 11,335 points, compared to the closing of the previous session, backed by four sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, QSE figures attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance of Transportation by 0.43%, Telecoms by 0.36%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.19%, and Industrials by 0.10%.
However, the index saw a decline in Insurance by 0.07%, Real Estate by 0.21%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.27%.
At 10:00 AM, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 4,071 transactions worth QR 117.870 million, distributed over 72.224 million shares.
