QSE Index Opens Higher as Five Sectors Show Positive Performance

Qatar stock exchange: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced an increase of 14.48 points, or 0.14%, at the start of Sunday's trading, reaching 10,225 points. This rise in the index was supported by positive performances across five key sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors contributing to the index's upward movement included Transportation, which saw a rise of 0.41%, Consumer Goods and Services and Real Estate, both up by 0.30%, Banks and Financial Services with an increase of 0.25%, and Industrials, which gained 0.07%. In contrast, the Insurance sector experienced a decline of 0.08%, and the Telecoms sector fell by 0.20%.

By 10:00 am, the trading activity showed a turnover of QAR 51.325 million, with 32.586 million shares being traded in a total of 2,357 transactions.
