Post: QSE Index Opens Higher, Gains 7.30 Points

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose 0.07% at the opening of Wednesday's trading session, gaining 7.30 points from the previous session's close to reach 9,792 points, supported by gains in four sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, QSE data showed that the Insurance sector led the gainers, rising 1.17%, followed by Telecoms, which gained 0.81%, Industrials, which rose 0.34%, and Real Estate, which advanced 0.15%. These sectors collectively contributed to the positive momentum observed in the market.

Conversely, some sectors experienced declines. The Banks and Financial Services sector fell 0.09%, Consumer Goods and Services declined 0.17%, and Transportation dropped 0.63%. These decreases were not enough to counterbalance the overall upward trend of the index.

By 10:00 am, trading on the QSE was valued at QR 57.190 million, with 26.547 million shares changing hands through 4,115 transactions. This indicates active participation from investors and reflects a strong start to the trading day.
