Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline, dropping 14.96 points, or 0.16%, to reach 9,622 points as trading commenced on Thursday. This decrease was primarily due to losses across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market data indicated a positive performance in the Telecoms sector, which rose by 0.37%. However, other sectors faced declines: Industrials dipped by 0.04%, Consumer Goods and Services fell by 0.13%, Transportation decreased by 0.17%, Real Estate dropped by 0.20%, Banks and Financial Services declined by 0.21%, and Insurance experienced the largest drop of 0.43%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover was recorded at QR 40.644 million, with a total of 18.798 million shares traded across 2,585 transactions.
