Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index witnessed an uptick in Wednesday's trading session, registering a rise of 41.81 points or 0.37%, closing at 11,325.92 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session experienced a significant volume of activity, with 240,592,054 shares changing hands. The total value of these transactions amounted to QAR 540,025,891.897, conducted through 26,010 transactions spanning all sectors.
An analysis of the day's performance showed that 32 companies saw their share prices increase, while 16 companies experienced a decline. Meanwhile, four companies' share prices remained unchanged from the previous session.
The overall market capitalization at the close of the session reached QAR 673,380,296,495.849, marking an increase from the previous session's market capitalization of QAR 670,997,095,854.350.
