QSE Index Rises 0.31% at Market Open


Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 32.32 points, or 0.31%, at the start of trading on Monday, reaching 10,564 points, compared to the previous close.



According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index was buoyed by gains in five sectors, led by Industrials, which rose by 0.60%. Other sectors contributing to the increase included Consumer Goods and Services (+0.39%), Real Estate (+0.37%), Banks and Financial Services (+0.27%), and Telecoms (+0.17%). On the contrary, the Insurance sector experienced a decline of 0.32%, and the Transportation sector saw a slight decrease of 0.09%.



As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 48.859 million shares, with a total value of QR 78.748 million across 3,062 transactions.
