Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose by 1.18% at the beginning of Monday's trading, adding 121.78 points to reach the level of 10,408 points, compared to the previous closing, backed by all sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, QSE figures attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance in several sectors. The Real Estate sector saw a significant increase of 2.35%, followed by Transportation at 1.66%. The Insurance sector improved by 1.26%, and Industrials rose by 1.23%. Banks and Financial Services experienced a growth of 1.16%, Telecoms increased by 1.06%, while Consumer Goods and Services went up by 1.02%.
At 10:00 AM, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 5,812 transactions worth QR 127.618 million. These transactions were distributed over 63.847 million shares, reflecting a strong start to the trading day.
