QSE Index Rises 24.72 Points at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Thursday, with an increase of 24.72 points, or 0.23%, bringing it to 10,600 points in comparison to the previous session's close. The rise was supported by five sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data indicated gains in several sectors: Transportation increased by (+0.68%), Industrials by (+0.47%), Consumer Goods and Services by (+0.35%), Real Estate by (+0.18%), and Banks and Financial Services by (+0.09%). However, the Telecoms sector experienced a decline of (-0.59%), and the Insurance sector fell by (-0.65%).

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 99.906 million, with a total of 30.482 million shares exchanged in 3,433 transactions.
