QSE Index Slips 0.76% at Market Open

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 82.58 points, or 0.76%, to 10,717 points at the start of trading on Tuesday, compared with the previous session's close. Most sectors opened lower, led by Telecoms which declined 5.41%, followed by Industrials (-0.84%), Transportation (-0.54%), Real Estate (-0.26%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.19%), and Banks and Financial Services (-0.11%). Insurance, however, gained 0.45%.

According to Qatar News Agency, by 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 64.904 million from 19.362 million shares traded in 3,316 transactions.
