Doha: Muaither emerged victorious over Al Gharafa with a commanding 5-2 scoreline in Round 2 of the 2025-2026 QSL Cup season at the Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium, hosted by Al Wakrah club on Monday. This marked Muaither's first victory in the tournament, following a goalless draw against Al Markhiya in the opening round. With this win, Muaither now has four points, while Al Gharafa remains at one point after a 3-3 draw with Al Sadd in the first round.
According to Qatar News Agency, the goals for Muaither came from Albert Ramis, who scored twice in the 16th and 59th minutes, Youssef Al Yahri in the 31st minute, Ivan Morales in the second minute of first-half injury time, and Abdulrahman Al Salahi in the 67th minute. Al Gharafa's goals were scored by Florinel Coman, first with a penalty in the 27th minute and again in the 53rd minute.
In another match, Al Bidda, led by Abdallah Nouri's superb hat-trick, stunned Al Sadd with a 3-1 victory at the 974 Stadium on Monday. The 21-year-old right-winger opened the scoring in the seventh minute, added a second in the 74th minute, and completed his hat-trick in stoppage time. Al Sadd's only goal came from Yaman Jarrar in the 52nd minute, which was not enough to stop Al Bidda from securing their first tournament win.
Additionally, Al Arabi and Al Waab played to a 1-1 draw at the Al Khor Stadium. Ahmed Moeen scored for Al Arabi, while Baha Faisal equalized for Al Waab.
Furthermore, Al Duhail achieved a 2-1 victory over Mesaimeer at the Al Shamal Stadium. This was Al Duhail's first win in the tournament after a goalless draw against Al Ahli in the opening round, bringing their points to four. Mesaimeer, with one point, initially took the lead through Youssef Dhaflaoui in the 23rd minute. However, Al Duhail quickly responded with an equalizer from Tahsin Mohammed a minute later, and Hamada Misbah Ghazy scored the decisive goal in the 69th minute.
