Real Madrid, the reigning UEFA Champions League titleholder, has announced that the match against Italian side Atalanta in the 2024-2025 UEFA Super Cup will take place on August 14 at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland.
In a statement, the Spanish club said that this will be their ninth appearance in the UEFA Super Cup. Real Madrid has previously won the title five times in the seasons (2001-2002, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, and 2021-2022). This will be Atalanta’s first appearance in the European competition’s final.
Real Madrid secured their 15th UEFA Champions League title by defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final held at Wembley Stadium in London.
On the other hand, Atalanta triumphed over Bayer Leverkusen with a 3-0 victory in the UEFA Europa League final.
