MOSCOW: The Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday that its operations in Kursk Oblast resulted in the deaths of 580 Ukrainian troops over the last 24 hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that these casualties occurred during operations targeting Ukrainian army positions in several locations, including the cities and towns of Iskandaria, Veselovka, Zalishchyky, Lebedivka, and Maryino. This recent development brings the total reported Ukrainian troop losses to over 47,040 since the onset of the Kursk offensive on August 6, 2023.
The ministry’s statement also detailed the destruction of military assets, including 10 armored vehicles, an air defense system, two cannons, and 36 other vehicles. These operations are part of a broader military strategy amid ongoing tensions in the region.
