Doha: Russia's air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 32 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian military said that 15 of the drones were neutralized over the territory of the Voronezh region, 11 over the territory of the Belgorod region, 4 over the territory of the Kursk region, and one each over the territories of the Oryol and Tver regions.
Since the beginning of the conflict in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have almost daily exchanged claims of shooting down drones. However, it is difficult to verify the accuracy of these claims due to the ongoing war, which hinders access to combat zones and the verification of information.
