UMM SALAL: The Ministry of Culture has launched an innovative event, Sana Qatar, as part of the National Day celebrations, aiming to illuminate facets of Qatar’s history and heritage through a blend of digital art and immersive experiences at Darb Al Saai. The event will run until December 18.
According to Qatar News Agency, this inaugural initiative focuses on presenting Qatar’s cultural and historical narrative using advanced display technologies. Sana Qatar comprises documentary films, interactive games, and large-scale display screens, creating an engaging environment for attendees. Event supervisor Anas Al Shayji described it as a digital art exhibition that encourages active participation, allowing the audience to establish a personal connection with the artistic content.
The exhibition is structured into three sections, each offering a unique perspective on Qatar’s history and progress. The first section, “From the Qatari environment,” encourages children to create drawings inspired by local wildlife
, which are then digitally projected. The second section, the “coffee section,” uses modern design to represent the technological aspects of the event, allowing visitors to experience a virtual spatial journey. The third section, “Al Baraaha,” features three-dimensional screens showcasing short films about Qatar, focusing on themes such as the sea and traditional symbols like the sword.
Al Shayji emphasized that Sana Qatar symbolizes the cultural renaissance in Qatar, offering a platform where art and technology converge, reflecting the nation’s vision of creativity and innovation.
