Santos: Brazilian football club Santos have signed Philippe Coutinho through the end of the season, bringing him together with fellow Brazilian Neymar. According to Qatar News Agency, Coutinho, 34, returns to the field after being without a club since February, when he terminated his contract with Vasco da Gama. He had returned to the club in 2024 after spending the 2023-24 season on loan at Qatar's Al Duhail. Coutinho began his career with Vasco da Gama before moving to Italian club Inter Milan and then to Liverpool in 2013, where he made 201 appearances and scored 54 goals. He subsequently joined Spanish club Barcelona in 2018 and also played for Bayern Munich of Germany, Aston Villa of England, and Al Duhail of Qatar. At the international level, Coutinho last played for Brazil in March 2022.
