Uae: Saudi Arabia welcomed the signing of the Doha Framework for the Peace Agreement between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Congo River Alliance, also known as the M23 Movement.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed its anticipation that both parties will adhere to the terms of the agreement. This adherence is expected to facilitate addressing disputes and conflicts through an inclusive national dialogue, meeting the aspirations of the Congolese people for security, stability, and prosperity across the country. The ministry emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to areas affected by the ongoing conflict.
The statement further highlighted the Kingdom's appreciation for the diplomatic efforts and constructive role played by the State of Qatar in achieving this significant agreement.
