King Abdullah Sports City:Saudi Arabia defeated Kuwait 1-0 in the opening round of Group A of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament. The match took place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. According to Qatar News Agency, the only goal of the match came from Kuwait's Yousef Al Haqqan, who scored an own goal in the 73rd minute. This victory awarded Saudi Arabia their first three points in the tournament. With this win, Saudi Arabia tops Group A after Iraq and Oman played to a 1-1 draw.
