Riyadh: HH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received a written message from Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi. The message was delivered by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah during a meeting with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Akazawa Ryosei.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Discussions also covered regional developments and joint efforts to address the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides expressed the significance of maintaining the freedom and safety of international waterways, which is crucial for preserving regional and global security and stability, as well as ensuring the uninterrupted flow of global energy supplies.
