Hebron: A Palestinian man was injured on Sunday after being shot with live bullets by settlers who attacked farmers in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, in occupied West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, a 42-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to his hand and abdomen and was transferred to a hospital for treatment.
Local sources reported that several armed settlers attacked farmers in Al-Qurainat area, opened fire at them, assaulted them, and prevented them from working on their lands, which are under threat of confiscation in favor of a nearby settler outpost recently established on Palestinian-owned property.
In a related incident, settlers opened fire at Palestinians in the village of Al-Mughayyer, northeast of Ramallah.
Head of Al-Mughayyer village council said that settlers attacked the eastern plain area of the village and fired shots toward residents in the vicinity, though no injuries were reported.
