Syria and Venezuela have discussed the close cooperation relations binding the two friendly countries, and ways to enhance them in various fields.
That came during a meeting that brought together Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Ayman Sousan, and Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle East Affairs, Tatiana Moreno, and the accompanying delegation.
Dr. Sousan stressed that the reactivation of the airline between Caracas and Damascus paves the way for increased communication between the two countries, especially at the level of economic activities, which would uplift the economic cooperation relations.
He added that the reactivation of the airline would also increase trade exchange between the two countries to confront the policy of sanctions imposed by the colonial West as a tool to impose its hegemony on countries that defend their sovereignty and national dignity, and to plunder the wealth of their peoples.
For her part, Moreno expressed high appreciation for Syria’s positions regarding the US attempts to destabilize Venezuela and the world.
She stressed Venezuela’s continued support for Syria, and the need to strengthen relations between the two countries to reach the level of the existing political relations between them.
