Doha: Spain climbed to the top of FIFA's men's world rankings released on Monday, one day after winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final. According to Qatar News Agency, Spain moved into first place with 1,995.88 points, overtaking Argentina, which dropped to second with 1,970.37 points. France and England ranked third and fourth, respectively, while Brazil climbed to fifth, followed by Morocco in sixth. Portugal slipped to seventh, Belgium rose to eighth, the Netherlands dropped to ninth, and Mexico climbed four places to complete the top 10. Among Arab nations, Egypt climbed four places to 24th in the world rankings, followed by Algeria in 29th, Tunisia in 57th, Saudi Arabia in 58th, and Qatar in 59th.
