Swimming: Qatar Wins Gold, Silver Medals in Aquatics Age Group Championships

Morocco: Qatari swimmer Adam Morsi won the gold medal in the 50-meter breaststroke event for the 13-14 age group at the 4th edition of the Arab Aquatics Age Group Championships, which is currently being held in Morocco and runs until September 1.

According to Qatar News Agency, Morsi completed the race in 31.23 seconds, setting a new Arab record. Additionally, swimmer Mohamed Mahmoud secured another gold medal for Qatar in the men's 50-meter breaststroke, finishing with a time of 28.53 seconds. This achievement brings Qatar's total gold medal count to three at the championship.

Swimmer Hamza Shaalan added to Qatar's success by claiming the silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke for the 17-18 age group, completing his race in 29.13 seconds. Furthermore, the Qatari relay team earned a silver medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay, with a time of 7:55.80 minutes.

The championship has attracted athletes from 19 Arab countries and includes various competitions such as swimming, water polo, and open-water swimming.
