Post: Swiss Inflation Reaches Two-Year High of 1% in September 2026

Doha:The annual inflation rate in Switzerland rose to 1% in September, reaching a two-year high, compared to 0.8% in August.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) reported that the State Consumer Price Index (LIK) remained stable at 101.5 points, unchanged from the previous month and up from 100 points in December 2025.

This stability in the index is attributed to contrasting trends in various sectors. While prices for heating oil, gasoline, and diesel saw increases, there was a decline in the costs associated with package tours abroad, car rentals, and car-sharing services. Additionally, prices in the hotel and non-hotel accommodation sectors also decreased.
