Post: Syria participates in Ad Hoc Committee on the elaboration of Int’l convention on combating the use of IT for criminal purposes

New York, Syria participates in 8th session of Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal purposes. During the session that began in New York on July 29th and continue till August 9th , an international convention, to prevent and combat crimes related to misuse of information and communications technology and bolster international cooperation and provide technical assistance to prevent these crimes, will be signed In his speech, head of Syrian delegation, Brigadier General Dr. Yasser Kalzi, stressed the importance of the agreement in creating a particular mechanism for international cooperation and respect sovereignty of countries. Kalzi stressed that Syria supports reaching a consensus formula for a comprehensive, balanced and integrated international agreement draft that meets concerns of all countries.
