Damascus: The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced Sunday that it had dismantled an armed cell responsible for unleashing attacks on Mezzeh neighborhood and its military airstrip in Damascus in January 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, all individuals in this cell were apprehended, alongside several drones that had been equipped for use in armed attacks, the ministry reported in a statement.
Last month, the Syrian authorities announced that two missile projectiles were dropped on Mezzeh neighborhood, with a third projectile falling on the perimeter of Mezzeh military airstrip, without any reported casualties.
