In the women's draw, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the third round with a straight-sets victory over McCartney Kessler, 6-1, 7-6. The four-time Grand Slam champion will next face Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open champion, who defeated Croatia's Antonia Ruzic in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.
