Ramallah – Ma’an – From yesterday evening until Monday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least (22) citizens from the West Bank, including four women, two of whom were hostages, and former prisoners.
The Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority said in a joint statement that the arrests were concentrated in the Jerusalem Governorate, which is witnessing an escalation in arrests during the holy month of Ramadan, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Tulkarm.
The statement explained that the arrests were accompanied by widespread abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.
He pointed out that the number of arrests after October 7 increased to about (7,920), and this number includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under
pressure, and those who were held hostage.
The occupation continues to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees, 177 days after the aggression and genocide, and the occupation refuses to provide human rights institutions, including the competent international and Palestinian ones, with any information regarding their fate and places of detention to this day, including the martyred Gaza detainees.
