Doha: The FIFA Referees Committee has announced the list of referees who will officiate matches at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, which will be hosted by Qatar from November 3 to 27. The list includes three Qatari referees: Mohammed Ahmed Al Shammari (referee), Khalid Khalaf, and Faisal Eid Al Shammari (assistant referees).
According to Qatar News Agency, the total number of referees selected for the tournament is 81, comprising 27 referees and 54 assistant referees. These officials represent 35 national associations, highlighting the global nature of the event.
Italian Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, expressed his confidence in the ability of the selected referees to officiate matches at the tournament. This selection underscores the trust and expectations placed on these officials to uphold the standards of the game during the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025.
