Turkish President Asserts Commitment to Iraqi Security and Stability

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has emphasized that Turkiye is committed to the security and stability of Iraq, stating that his country is ready to undertake everything it considers amenable to supporting Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, Erdogan spoke during a press conference alongside the Iraqi Prime Minister during his visit to Ankara. He highlighted that Iraq is among the nations affected by escalation and instability. Erdogan stressed that Iraqi security and stability are inseparable from the security of Turkiye and its internal situation. He mentioned that he discussed with the Iraqi premier regional developments, particularly those related to Iran, Syria, and Palestine.

For his part, the Iraqi premier asserted that Iraq and Turkiye would embark on implementing the Development Road project, adding that the relationship between the two nations will flourish much more. He noted that economic resources will be maximized, and oil flows will be doubled, indicating a strengthening of ties and mutual benefits for both countries.
