Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and ongoing efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, in a meeting Thursday in Ankara.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders discussed the bilateral relations and exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern. A key focus of the talks was the upcoming high-level international conference on the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, scheduled for September 22 in New York.
The meeting underscores Ankara's continued engagement with the Palestinian leadership and its active role in supporting international initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict and achieving lasting peace in the region.
