UAE Expresses Unwavering Support for Qatar at UN Human Rights Council

Geneva: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reaffirmed its full solidarity with Qatar, strongly condemning the Israeli attack that targeted the nation. Jamal Jamea Al Musharakh, the UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, addressed the urgent debate during the 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, describing the assault as a violation of a Gulf Arab state's sovereignty and a threat to regional peace.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Musharakh emphasized that the attack breaches international law, the UN Charter, and fundamental human rights principles. He offered condolences to Qatar for the loss of a member of the Internal Security Force, reiterating the UAE's support for Qatar against all security threats.

Al Musharakh highlighted the interconnected security of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, noting that aggression against one member impacts the entire GCC's security. He warned that ongoing aggressive actions risk further instability in the region.

The UAE envoy stressed the need for adherence to the UN Charter's principles, cautioning against escalation and instability fueled by inflammatory rhetoric.
