Doha: Uganda's electoral commission announced today that incumbent President Yoweri Museveni has won a new presidential term, his seventh in his 40-year rule of the country.
According to Qatar News Agency, the final results announced by commission chairperson Simon Mugenyi Byabakama show that Museveni received 71.65 percent of the vote, compared to 24.72 percent for his main challenger, Bobi Wine.
