Ukraine: Ukraine announced Sunday that its air defenses successfully intercepted 380 out of 442 Russian drones launched overnight on Saturday towards Ukrainian territory.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported that Russian forces targeted multiple locations across Ukraine during the nighttime offensive. The Ukrainian Defense Forces employed a combination of aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, and electronic warfare capabilities to thwart the drone attack, achieving a significant interception rate.
Preliminary data indicates that seven locations suffered direct hits from the drones, while debris was discovered in 14 additional areas. The ongoing conflict, which began on February 24, 2022, has seen both Russia and Ukraine frequently issuing reports of military activities, including claims of territorial advances or successful defenses.
