Kyiv: Ukraine signed an agreement with a US company to produce hundreds of thousands of drones this year. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Thursday that his country signed a deal with US-based company Swift Beat to manufacture hundreds of thousands of drones in 2025. He noted that a significant number of these would be interceptor drones, intended to target and destroy Russian drones and missiles.
According to Qatar News Agency, Zelenskyy added that production would also include quadcopters for reconnaissance and precision targeting, as well as long-range attack drones. Efforts to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine recently intensified. The United States is leading initiatives to bring the war to an end, while Moscow has shown a positive stance toward entering negotiations with Kyiv. Nonetheless, fighting continues unabated across various fronts.
