Following years of repeated appeals to be supplied with this type of advanced aircraft in the pursuit of regaining Ukrainian territories captured by Russian forces, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday that his country has received its first American-made F-16 fighter jets. Commenting on this development, Zelensky said that F-16s have now become a reality in Ukraine, however he noted that his country is awaiting additional deliveries, as the number of jets delivered is insufficient. In mid-May, the Ukrainian President had stated that Kyiv needed between 120 and 130 of these aircraft to meet Russia's arsenal. Source: Qatar News Agency
