Washington: The United States and the Sultanate of Oman held the 18th meeting of the Joint Military Commission in Washington to discuss deepening and expanding existing areas of military cooperation. The discussions aimed to bolster the strategic relationship between the two nations through enhanced military collaboration.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Middle East Affairs Michael DiMino on the US side, while the Omani delegation was led by Secretary-General of the Omani Ministry of Defense Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi. The focus was on addressing several items on the agenda and exploring ways to advance joint defense coordination.
The dialogue signifies a mutual interest in strengthening defense ties and ensuring regional security through cooperative efforts.
