US President: Tuesday’s Planned Military Attack on Iran Paused

Washington: US President, Donald Trump has said that his country's planned military attack on Iran scheduled for Tuesday was held off. President Trump highlighted that he has further instructed the US Department of War to be prepared to go forward with a full, large scale assault on Iran on a moment's notice, in the event that an acceptable deal is not reached.

According to Qatar News Agency, the American President made it clear that the deal must include Iran not possessing nuclear weapons. In turn, Spokesperson for the US Department of State, Tommy Pigott affirmed that President Trump will not rush into reaching an unacceptable agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear file, stressing that the administration's red lines are clear: Iran must not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

Pigott emphasized that the US President is seeking a constructive agreement concerning Iran's nuclear program, without making concessions that would compromise regional security or US interests.
