Post: US Stock Market Indices Surge as Trading Ends

Doha: The main indices on the US Wall Street stock exchange closed higher at the end of trading today. According to Qatar News Agency, the Standard and Poor's 500 index closed up 124.60 points, or 1.70 percent, reaching 7440.75. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose significantly by 679.24 points, or 2.76 percent, to 25,118.17 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also experienced an increase, rising 607.28 points, or 1.18 percent, to end at 52,201.42 points.
